50,000 Visited Shirvan Book Fair

TEHRAN Head of the Culture and Islamic Guidance Department of Shirvan City, Khorasan Province, Hossein Nour-Mohammadzadeh said that some 50,000 people visited the recently held book fair in this city.
Speaking to IRNA, Nour-Mohammadzadeh underlined that it was an unprecedented welcome to a book fair in this northern Khorasan Province city.
He said that the youths comprised most of the visitors in this fair, adding that it indicates that the youths of Shirvan city are very interested in book-reading.
Nour-Mohammadzadeh emphasized that a considerable credit should be allocated to the establishment of big halls for holding more book fairs in the future.
Shirvan Book Fair which started work 11 days ago, wound up on Monday.
Shirvan City is located northwest of Mashhad, Khorasan Province.
It has a population of 150,000 people.
